Roman’s career has been marked by a series of high-profile and unforgettable creations, including:


  • Monument of Heroes of WWII (40th Anniversary) – A monumental 12' x 30' sculpture, completed in 1985.
  • Bust Statue of National Hero Njdeh – Standing 10 feet tall, this piece was created in 1990 to honor an Armenian national hero.
  • Family Crest for Hockey Legend Wayne Gretzky – Created in 1993 as a personal commission.
  • Limestone Fountain of Lady for the American Show House in Japan – A 6-foot statue crafted in 1996.
  • Family Crest for Michael Jackson – Designed and sculpted in 1997.
  • Re-created Fish for Fountain of Burbank City Hall – A significant commission in 1999.
  • Annual Armenian Dance Festival Award – "Dancing Lady" – Since 2000, Roman has designed this prestigious award presented at the festival.
  • Western Diocese Church – Wooden and Bronze Body Relief Sculpture – Standing 8 feet tall, this relief was completed in 2004.
  • Italian White Carrara Marble Sculpture of Armenian Composer Komitas – Installed in Houston, Texas, in 2006.
  • Italian White Carrara Marble Sculpture of “Xachkar” – A striking 11-foot piece at St. Garabed Church in Hollywood, California, in 2008.
  • “Black Beauty” Sculpture – An aluminum cast piece with a distinctive background, displayed at Bonhams and Butterfields Art Project Los Angeles in 2010, valued at $25,000.
  • Toto Memorial Statue (Wizard of Oz) – Located in Hollywood, California, this touching tribute was unveiled on June 18, 2011.
  • “Time is Money” Sculpture – Another notable piece at Bonhams and Butterfields Art Project Los Angeles in 2011, valued at $40,000.

Born in 1959 in Yerevan, Armenia, Roman Gal’s artistic talents were evident from an early age. His passion for sculpture and design led him to the Technical Institute of Art in Yerevan, where he graduated in 1980. Eager to expand his craft, Roman continued his studies at the University of Art in Moscow, Russia, where he graduated in 1985, further honing his skills and artistic vision.

In 1990, seeking greater opportunities and a broader platform for his art, Roman moved to the United States. He found his new home in Los Angeles, California, where his career truly began to take shape. Today, he is the proud owner and proprietor of the Roman Gal Sculpting Studio, with locations in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas. His sculptures have earned a reputation for their distinctive beauty, emotional depth, and precision, making them a staple in Southern California’s art scene.


Roman’s pieces have been showcased at prestigious events such as the LA Mart Show, the New York Art Expo, the Beverly Hills Art Show, and ArtMArt International Art Music Cuisine in Downtown LA. His sculptures continue to capture the attention of art lovers, collectors, and enthusiasts from around the world.

Through his exceptional vision and craftsmanship, Roman has built a legacy as one of Southern California’s most respected sculptors. His work remains a testament to his skill, passion, and dedication to the art of sculpture.
